Participants are introduced to a new training methodology to improve their listening and comprehension skills. The course covers the introductory portion of the ENGLISH PROFICIENCY CORE COURSE at a slower pace. The main focus will be on learning the English pronunciation.
Course Objectives
- Understand and learn correct rhythm, accent and pronunciation of English language to enhance listening skills
- Understand the characteristics of English sentence structures and learn to process the meaning from the beginning of the sentence
- Learn techniques traditionally used in training interpreters; shadowing, retention, reproduction, note-taking
- Learn to use the K/H System Training Method to assist in training outside of the course
Recommended for
- Those with TOEIC scores below 650
- Those with TOEIC scores of 650 and above, but with limited understanding of English grammar and syntax
