This is an intensive workshop-style course to build a foundation for enhancing listening and comprehension skills. This is the course that introduces the participants to the K/H System Training Method, and we recommend that all participants take this course regardless of the level of proficiency.
Course Objectives
- Understand and learn correct rhythm, accent and pronunciation of English language to enhance listening skills
- Understand the characteristics of English sentence structures and learn to process the meaning from the beginning of the sentence
- Learn techniques traditionally used in training interpreters; shadowing, retention, reproduction, note-taking
- Learn to use the K/H System Training Method to assist in training outside of the course
Recommended for
- Those with TOEIC scores 650 and above
- Those with TOEIC scores 550 and above with strong understanding of English grammar and syntax
